Wedding - Blessings and Renewal of VowsDue to the amount of legal requirements for Legal Notarised Weddings and possible changes to the law, the easiest option for non-residents of Cape Verde is to have their marriage notarised and legalised in their own country. Some couples may then choose to come to Cape Verde to have a Religious Blessing arranged by us with the Evangelical Church on the island of Sal or Boa Vista, which can take place on the beach, near a beach venue or restaurant.
Our Services: We provide a Christian Religious Blessing or Renewal of Vows service through the Evangelical Church. We have helped arrange Christian Religious Blessings on Sal Island and Boa Vista Island for foreigners and tourists. A marriage certificate will be issued by the Evangelical Church for the couple and their witnesses to sign at the end of the ceremony. Ceremonies can be held in the Church, on the beach, at hotels, restaurants, or other venue of your choice. We can arrange for you to Renew your Vows too, again using the the Evangelical Church. These Religious Blessings or a Renewal of Vows ceremony is performed by a Pastor of the Evangelical Church. It can be arranged during your vacation on Sal or Boavista, but there are certain documents and information which you will need to provide for both of these services which you must arrange to send to us prior to arrival on the island.
Documentation for blessing by the Evangelical Church for Christian Religious Blessing or Renewal of Vows : - Birth Certificate of each person - Passport or ID of each person - Documental evidence from your Registry Office proving that you are both single (divorced/widowed). - Or Marriage certificate/document if renewing your vows. Most services are carried out in Portuguese so in most cases you would need a translator which we would arrange. A simple reading on the beach (without a Pastor) to celebrate your devotion to each other as a couple. Read more: Love and Devotion Ceremonies Venues: We have a number of venues from which you can choose to hold the ceremony. The same venues can also host a reception for you, your family and guests. You may decide you want to choose another venue at which to hold the ceremony or reception. We can help you find something that suits your requirements. Venues will have their own prices for hire of a room which you will need to pay for seperately. If you want to book a meal for small group, or just for yourselves at a restaurant, it may be possible to obtain a menu from some restaurants to send to you. It is also accepted that some couples who are staying in an All Inclusive Hotel may wish to return to their hotel after the service.
